Ravenous Fans at "New Moon" Showing
MEQUON - It is one of the most anticipated movies of the year: "New Moon," the sequel to "Twilight."
The movie is a star-crossed tale of forbidden love between a mortal and a vampire. Ravenous fans at North Shore Cinema in Mequon couldn't wait to sink their teeth into this film.
Abby Martin and her seven girlfriends got in line at 4:30 Friday afternoon. "We just really wanted to be the first in line," she said.
A little more than 400 people were in line to see the movie which sold out over a month ago.
The big question in this movie is whether the lead character Bella should choose Edward the Vampire or Jacob the Werewolf.
Meredith Jeffers, 14, already made her pick. "Team Vampire," she said, "Because Robert Pattinson is really hot!"
"New Moon" set a record Thursday night for the biggest midnight movie showing ever.
