WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) -- A 25-year-old man accused of being part of a heroin ring that authorities say led to five fatal overdoses has been found guilty in two of the deaths.

Jason M. Lund of Wauwatosa entered guilty pleas and was convicted Thursday in Waukesha County in the 2008 heroin overdose deaths.

As part of plea agreement, Assistant District Attorney Sue Opper says the state will seek a total of 15 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision for Lund.

Lund was among 27 people from Milwaukee, Chicago and Waukesha County who were arrested in July 2008 as the result of an investigation dubbed Operation Lake Effect by federal, state and local authorities.

Lund provided the heroin to 25-year-old David Knuth of the City of Pewaukee and 19-year-old Andrew M. Goetzke of the Village of Pewaukee. Both died.
