Kiel Native Killed at Fort Hood
KIEL - One of the victims of the massacre at Fort Hood is from Kiel, Wisconsin in southern Manitowoc County.
Amy Krueger was 29 year's old. Her family says she was about to deploy to Afghanistan next week.
Krueger's mom says her daughter joined the military after 9-11. Her mother says Amy was a strong willed, wonderful person.
Kreuger graduated from Kiel High School in 1998. The family informed the school this morning that she was killed.
Principal Dario Talerico says he has informed students and staff at the school of the news.
Other members of Kreuger's family went to the school, but Talerico wasn't immediately sure how many.
