School Referendum Results
WHITEFISH BAY - Voters in Whitefish Bay approved two school spending measures Tuesday.
The first question authorized $9 million dollars in bonds to maintain and upgrade school facilities. It passed easily, with more than 69 percent of the vote: 2,719 to 1,219.
The second question, for $13.6 million in bonds, passed by a much closer margin: 2,054 to 1,883.
In Whitefish Bay, the average homeowner's tax bill will increase about $250 now that the "Yes" vote has won.
Pewaukee
Pewaukee School District voters turned down a two-part referendum for $25 million for building upgrades.
The first question was rejected, 1,749 to 1,506, according to LivingLakeCountry.com.
The second question, to exceed state tax limits by $400,000 a year, was turned down 1,824 to 1,421.
Trevor-Wilmot
According to the Kenosha News, voters in the new Trevor-Wilmot school district approved spending $11.4 million for an addition to the Trevor School by a 231-219 vote.
Cedar Grove-Belgium
In the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District, voters rejected $25 million for a new middle school, technology center and swimming pool.
The Sheboygan Press says, question 1, for the new middle school and tech center, was defeated, 1,240-648.
And question 2, for the new swimming pool, was defeated, 1,377- 499.
