MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Health Department announced Tuesday that it had received 5,000 additional doses of the swine flu vaccine and will hold two more vaccination clinics later this week.

"This afternoon, the Health Department received approximately 3,500 doses of H1N1 injectable vaccine and 1,500 doses of the intranasal vaccine, which will be added to the approximately 650 doses of intranasal vaccine remaining from previous clinics," spokesman Paul Biedrzycki said in a news release.

Those vaccinations will be distributed Thursday, Nov. 5 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Sarah Scott Building (1017 N. 12th St.) and Friday, Nov. 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at South Division High School (1515 W. Lapham Blvd.).

The Health Department will vaccinate only those in certain at-risk groups, including: pregnant women, children aged 6 months to 18 years old, health care workers with direct patient contact, and caregivers of infants aged 6 months or younger.
