Former South Milwaukee Teacher Dies of Swine Flu
SOUTH MILWAUKEE - A former teacher in the South Milwaukee School District has died of swine flu in Gilbert, Arizona, health officials there said Tuesday.
Gail Stapleton, 51, died October 30 after battling the virus for about a month. Her family said she suffered from asthma, which contributed to her death.
For the past two years, Stapleton taught in the Higley Unified School District in Arizona. Her body will be returned for funeral services in North Lake, Wis. next week.
