Hundreds March To Call Out President Obama

By Mick Trevey

MILWAUKEE - Hundreds of people marched through Milwaukee's south side Saturday morning saying they want to send a message to President Obama's administration.

"Obama promised he would stop enforcement only measures that are a failure. And he promised to introduce legislation in the first 100 days of his administration - and to pass immigration reform this year.  And that hasn't been the case," said Christine Neumann Ortiz of the group Voces de la Frontera.

The marchers included Obama campaign volunteer Angelina Bucio. "I feel frustrated," she said.

She worked to convince people to vote for Obama by repeating the campaign's promise for fast immigration reform.

"We believed in the first hundred days, we were looking forward to that and it didn't happen. But then there's two wars, the economy, we understand that, but we don't want to be forgotten," Bucio said.

The group also included skits in their rally. They're trying to make the point about why families want this immigration reform to come through.
