Kidnapped Kentucky Girl Found in Wisconsin
STURGEON BAY - A nation-wide Amber Alert is over after a 13-year-old girl kidnapped from her home in Kentucky was discovered in Wisconsin.
The state of Kentucky issued the alert Saturday when Haley Willett disappeared and was believed to have been taken by Archie Whalen, a 43-year-old acquaintance of the girl's family.
Authorities believed the two were somewhere around New York, Maine, or possibly Florida, but the girl was found Sunday in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin where police say Whalen has a sister.
Whalen has been arrested and is being extradited back to Kentucky.
The girl is being reunited with her family.
