"I believe that there needs to be some help with the issues but you have 18 yr. old kids that are on there own in college so I believe that it should apply to anyone under 18 not 21 and in doing so I believe putting it to 21 will stop alot of people from even shopping there." - Linda S.

"Remember Northridge." - Dave B.

"I think Mayfair should charge $20 for persons over 10 years of age to enter the mall. Each customer would receive some sort of pass (e.g. button, bracelet) to permit passage between anchor stores and the mall proper. Upon leaving the mall, customers would receive a refund of their payment, given that they return their pass and that they have behaved appropriately. Failure to return the pass or behave in a responsible manner would result in the mall keeping the money. Perhaps, a motivator for people to behave in the mall and a source of revenue if people decide to act up during their visit." - Anonymous

"Working on keeping the inside of the mall safe is ok. But what about the parking lot? The last couple of months had very disturbing things going on away from the mall. It is a very big lot and very busy. If you look back over the years there have been fights and large groups of people just standing around out side getting in trouble." - Keith P.

"I am a 38 year old female who grew up in West Allis and used to take the bus to the malls with my siblings, I can’t imagine any parent letting their children do that these days, except maybe the absentee parents of the kids who are fighting, and carrying guns around Mayfair malls these days, they are probably dropping their kids off!" - Tracy N.

"It appears that Mayfair Mall may end up as Northridge Mall did. Violence and kids or even adults just hanging around drives people away from shopping at the mall. Opening the theatre didn't help the situation, but may not be the total reason why its come to this. As for an ID being required just to enter and shop, will probably keep me from going there. I live in the Hartland area and made the travel quite frequently there to shop. One of the big reasons is they do have some good stores that tops Brookfield Square. It certainly is a shame." - Richard

"I think it's really sad & stupid that it has come to having to present an ID get in the mall. I never had heard of this happening before with all the other malls that we've had in Milwaukee (i.e. Northridge, Capitol Court, Grand Avenue)" - Anonymous

"I am in support of checking id at Mayfair. This is a drastic step but something needs to be done to ensure the safety of mall-goers and employees who work there." - Kate V.

"I am very pleasantly surprised at this move. I didn't think they would ever really get tough on the trouble makers. These people aren't just looking for a place to hang out, they are looking to cause trouble and make other people uncomfortable. I'm sick to death of it and I wish they could crack down on bad behavior all over town, not just at the malls." - Janine
