WAUWATOSA - Three teenagers were arrested after causing a disturbance at Mayfair Mall Saturday night.

Police were called to the mall's movie theater after rowdy teenagers caused a disturbance.

About 500 people were leaving the new Eddie Murphy movie, “Norbit,” when a small disturbance started just before 9 p.m.

A mall spokesperson said a small group was using foul language and being disrespectful.

At least six Wauwatosa police squads and Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies were called in to help mall security.

One boy fought with officers. A mall spokesperson said officers initially tried to subdue the teen with pepper spray. When that didn't work, they took him down with a Taser.

In the end, officers arrested the Tasered teen along with two others accused of being disorderly in a large crowd while leaving the movie.

There is a history of violence near the mall's movie theater. In 2002, police arrested a teen involved in a fight outside the theater for 'battery to an officer.'

In 2003 outside the AMC Theater, a police officer was seriously injured in a melee. She was punched while she tried to break up a fight. She received five stitches and sustained a concussion.

It's all too familiar to mall shoppers like Phil Jezak,

"I just hope things can straighten up a little bit for the security of all the people that patronize this mall," he said.

One store owner said he moved the location of his store to the far end of the mall to get away from the theater crowd.

Last week, Mayfair Mall announced the creation of a new policy that would prevent certain teenagers from being at the mall without a parent or guardian. The mall noted the details of the policy were still being worked out.
