Local NewsReport: Firefighter Injured in Third Area Barn Fire in 3 DaysNEWBURG - Crews from multiple fire departments have responded to a barn fire in Newburg, near West Bend. Scanner reports say that crews from 10 municipalities, including West Bend, Cedarburg, Saukville and Port Washington have assisted in trying to fight the fire., and one firefighter has been injured. The fire is located at 748 Pleasant Hill Road in Newburg. This is the third barn fire north of Milwaukee in the last three days. Two other barn fires happened in Ozaukee County over the weekend. One of them, in Belgium, was so fierce that it caused a total loss. A Ozaukee County Sheriff's says they have contacted other officials to see whether the recent fire cases have any connection, something they say they normally do in such a case. A press release says that the fire in the Town of Belgium is believed to have been caused by an electrical problem. |
