Local NewsPolice Find Body in Search for Missing BoyBy Dan O'DonnellBURLINGTON - Town of Burlington Police have found a body as they searched Browns Lake for a 14-year-old boy who went missing and was presumed drowned. Darieus Nelson's family says they were shocked when they found out he went missing Tuesday afternoon, claiming they did not know he went boating with a summer camp program. "He was swimming or something and he's gone," a fisherman who saw Darieus struggling said in a 911 call. "The guy that I'm holding onto right now tried to save him." The body was discovered about 150 yards from the targeted search area at approximately 2:30 Thursday afternoon. It has not yet been confirmed that the body is that of Darieus Nelson. |
