Woman & Child Injured in Crash

MILWAUKEE-  A woman and child were taken to the hospital after their SUV crashed into a tree.

It happened early Sunday morning at 1st Street and Clarke Street. Police say the 28-year-old driver plowed into a tree. She was taken to Froedtert Hospital by a Flight For Life helicopter and was reported to be in critical condition.

The 9-year-old girl riding in the car was also hurt. Her injuries are unknown.
