Local NewsBomb Squad Detonates Suspicious Device Left at BankBy Jay SorgiCEDARBURG - The Milwaukee Bomb Squad has detonated a suspcious device that was left at the Commerce State Bank on Washington Avenue in Cedarburg during a robbery. The chief of the Cedarburg Police Department told TODAY'S TMJ4's Melanie Stout that everyone has been removed from the Commerce State Bank on Washington Avenue in Cedarburg, a place where what is being described as a suspicious device is currently located. Police are searching for a white male who is 50 to 60 years old, wearing a suit, a fake beard and wig with a US Navy hat with the Navy seal on it. According to the chief, the man went into the bank, forced three employees and a customer into a locked room during the robbery. Another employee whom the robber did not see called the West Bend location of Commerce State Bank, and they notified Cedarburg police. The man stole an employee's Dodge Durango and took it three blocks to an apartment facility. It is the first robbery of a bank in Cedarburg in four years, according to the chief. |
