Local NewsSeries of Crashes, Some Deadly, in SE WisconsinBy By Jay SorgiMILWAUKEE - Monday brings the second consecutive day where some people died and others were hurt in a set of unrelated crashes in Southeastern Wisconsin, including a hit-and-run-crash that killed an elderly woman. That crash happened at the corner of South Layton Boulevard and West Orchard Street on Milwaukee's south side. Milwaukee police say that two cars collided in the corner, and one of the cars hit a 78-year-old woman who was walking in the crosswalk. The car then fled the scene of the crash. Milwaukee fire officials pronounced the woman dead at the scene. |
