Dassey Named in Lawsuit 5/31/06

MANITOWOC - The family of Teresa Halbach is adding Steven Avery's nephew, 16-year-old Brendan Dassey, to its wrongful death suit.

Avery and Dassey are accused of killing and raping the 25-year-old photographer last October.

Dassey admitted his role in the crime to police, but Avery maintains his innocence.

The 16-year-old is being tried as an adult.
