Uecker Enters Braves Wall of Honor
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Brewers Broadcaster Bob Uecker has been inducted into the Braves Wall of Honor at Miller Park.
Uecker played for the Milwaukee Braves during the 1962-63 season. As always, he was full of jokes at Tuesday's induction ceremony. "A lot of people didn't know I started as a pitcher. My first game, the manager tried to take me out of the game, I said I struck this guy out last time. Manager said yeah, but it's the same inning so let me get you out of here," Uecker joked.
On a serious note, Uecker says he's concerned that there are a lot of young people who don't know that the Atlanta Braves were once the Milwaukee Braves.
The Braves Wall of honor is located on the Field Level Concourse along the third base side near the main gate.
