Fatal Shooting in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA - One man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Wauwatosa. The suspect tried for a quick get away on a Milwaukee county bus.
The shooting happened at a bus stop at 61st and Wisconsin. A witness told TODAY’S TMJ4 reporter Jay Olstad she heard a loud gun shot.
Brett Surinak looked out his window and saw his neighborhood lit up with flashing lights and police cars. He got out his video camera and recorded the scene.
Surinak said "They had the guns drawn and the bus and they had the whole thing surrounded. They were running around trying to get cover, get good vantage points."
Moments earlier investigators believe a 28-year old Wauwatosa man shot a 38-year old Milwaukee man in the face...killing him. It happened near the bus stop on 68th and Wisconsin.
A witness told TODAY’S TMJ4 reporter Jay Olstad "I started shaking, I couldn't believe that happened." "Somebody was like, 'oh my god someone got shot."
That's when witnesses claim the suspect tried to get away by hopping onto a Milwaukee county bus.
With his video camera in hand, Brett captures one man crawling on his chest and then police swarming into arrest him. not knowing who was the shooter, neighbors claim police arrested four people but later let three of them go. But Wauwatosa Police say only one person was arrested in connection with the shooting.
No one on the bus was hurt. Police had to reroute traffic after shutting down 68th and Wisconsin.
