TOWN OF CLYMAN - The Dodge County Sheriff's Department says Bethany Soboleski, a 17-year-old Beaver Dam High School Student, died and two other people were seriously hurt in a bad crash on Highway 26 in the Town of Clyman on Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff Todd Nehls says Soboleski's Chevy Cobalt was headed south on Highway 26 lost control.  She crossed the center line smashed into an oncoming Chevy Malibu near Highway 16/60.

Soboleski was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.

She is the eighth student at the school to die in the last year.  Most of those students died in car crashes.

A passenger in the Cobalt, Sarah Starr, 20, of Beaver Dam, was flown to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa by a Flight for Life helicopter. Her injuries do not appear to be life threatening according to the Sheriff's Department.

The driver of the Malibu, Michael Mansfield, 34, of Saukville, had to be extricated from his vehicle. He was also flown to Froedtert Hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

A third vehicle, a mini van, hit the Cobalt after the head on crash. The driver of the mini van was not hurt.
