Flooding in Kenosha County

By By Michael George with Jay Sorgi

A mix of wintery weather hits Wisconsin, bringing rain, snow and sleet to our viewing area.

Now, rivers are rising and sewer systems are trying to keep up with all the water.

All this wet weather is causing flooding concerns on the Fox River.

It's nothing new for those that live along the river.

All the rain we got over the weekend has piled up, and now the Fox is starting to rise.

The result: the water is creeping up on homes in Wheatland.

It's also creeping up on homes in Salem and New Muenster, and many of the communities along the Fox.

That's why the Kenosha County Sheriff has asked people near the flood waters to evacuate.

These are not mandatory evacuations, but they are telling people that if the water is their home, they are expected to evacuate the area.

Water levels are expected to crest this afternoon.

While the flooding isn't severe, there are a lot of people who believe the problem could get worse.
