Dolan Marks Ash Wednesday
Milwaukee Archbishop and soon-to-be New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan observed Ash Wednesday at a local Catholic high school.
The students at Pius XI high school on Milwaukee's west side welcomed the Archbishop in a big way.
During Mass, Archbishop Dolan marked the foreheads Of the students with ashes and wished them well.
He also had this advice for his successor.
"Make sure you come to Pius on Ash Wednesday," quipped the Archbishop
"Make sure you root for the hockey team and the girls basketball team! No, I'd say be with the people and trust the people. Listen to the people and especially be with them.
"You cant miss out on that. I'm already looking at the fish fry I am going to tonight!"
The students and staff gave Archbishop Dolan a very big farewell by doing the wave.
