TOWN OF MUKWONAGO - A dog has been kicked out of the Town of Mukwonago, and the town has obtained a temporary restraining order so it can't come back.
This all started last month when Rozlin, an 80-pound Italian mastiff, attacked a 13-year-old boy as the child was walking home from a school bus stop.
The boy suffered puncture wounds on both arms as well as bruising. His mother, Mary Seliger, says the dog has been loose before and regularly harasses her family.
After police were called, the dog was picked up and quarantined at the Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha. But Seliger was told that the dog behaved so badly there, officials looked into having her euthanized.
Rozlin's owner, Katherine Chase, says her dog is being treated unfairly, and she is trying desperately to get her back. A final decision on whether Rozlin can return to Mukwonago is expected next week.
