OCONOMOWOC - The family of a man killed in a car crash on I-94 just west of Highway SS in Delafield this weekend is speaking out. Instead of focusing on the pain, they want to focus on celebrating his life. Kyle Guerra, 24, of Oconomowoc died Saturday night and although his life was cut short, his brother Nathan said it was lived to the fullest. "He was just all about nature and all about being alive and vibrant," Nathan said. Kyle and his fiance Rachel Locher were driving home from Christmas shopping Saturday evening when a mini van crossed the median and hit their car. Locher suffered minor injuries, but Guerra died instantly. The mini van was driven by 41-year-old Michael Fueger of Waunakee. He was driving his three young children to a Bucks' game. We are told he didn't feel well, complained of stomach pains to his children, and was looking for a place to pull over just before he crashed. Fueger and his three children were not seriously hurt. Everyone involved in the crash except Guerra was wearing a seatbelt. "I am going to be sad for my sake because I miss Kyle, but I am happy for his sake because I know that he is with Christ now," Nathan explained. He said his brother, a devout Christian, had recently turned his life around. Kyle taught Sunday school, worked as a landscaper, raced mountain bikes, and loved nature. He was planning on getting married this summer. Despite the pain of losing his younger brother, Nathan said he is at peace knowing that Kyle is in heaven. "We are just so thankful, so thankful for Kyle's life and how he lived among us here. And that's how he'll be remembered. Just vibrant and he lived life to the fullest." The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department believes Fueger has a serious medical condition, that he was unaware of, which caused him to black out and crash. They are continuing to investigate the accident.
