State Patrol: Give Snow Plows Their Space!

By Katie DeLong

MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. Nate Clark appeared on Live at 3:00 via phone interview to talk about how the roads were doing during Wednesday’s snow storm. Click on the video link to hear the phone interview with Sgt. Clark. Clark said the amount of accidents had picked up since the noon hour, and Clark said the worst roads could be found in Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties Wednesday afternoon. Clark said the interstate was looking pretty good Wednesday afternoon, and most state highways were looking good. He said the biggest problem roads were county highways in northern counties, like Washington and Ozaukee. Clark said drivers should slow down! They should also allow for a long following distance. Clark also said drivers should be sure to give plow drivers their space. “Plow drivers are out there for the motorists, to clear the highway so you can drive safe. State law requires you to be 200 feet back,” Clark said.
