Every day on Live at 3:00, we have a segment called “What’s Hot,” where we talk about stuff that really is hot, and we have you talking.
Tuesday on Live at 3:00, Newsradio 620 WTMJ’s Jeff Wagner and former TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Silvia Acevedo appeared to talk about the fact that recession or not, video games still remain the hot gift for Christmas.
What’s the appeal?
This is based on a USA Today article that says experts expect overall retail sales to grow a modest 2.2 percent over last year, but sales of video games could improve as much as 15 percent over 2007.
The article also says nine out of 10 children ages 8 to 17 say they’re asking for at least one video game this year, up 80 percent from last year.
