Every day on Live at 3:00, we have a segment called “What’s Hot,” where we talk about stuff that really is hot, and we have you talking.
Friday on Live at 3:00, Newsradio 620 WTMJ’s Jeff Wagner and Susie Falk from the Falk Group appeared to talk about whether a video game could make you want to join the military.
The U.S. Army hopes so.
They’ve created the “Virtual Army Experience” or “V.A.E.”
The game simulator is being used as a sort of recruiting tool.
Since 2007, the simulator has been traveling to parks and events all over the country, attracting more than 120,000 participants 13 and older.
Critics say it’s a bad idea and a video game ignores the darker side of war.
They also discussed why vampires have suddenly become such a pop culture hit. The movie “Twilight” opens Friday night.
