Charges Possible Friday In Triple Shooting

By Katie DeLong

MILWAUKEE – Charges are expected Friday in the triple shooting at 94th and Brown Deer Road. The 16-year-old shooter’s mom is accused of giving her son a gun and telling him to take care of business. Milwaukee police have increased their presence in the area to let neighbors know that officers are keeping an eye on them. The 16-year-old boy accused of shooting three people remains in the juvenile detention center and will appear in court Friday. His 43-year-old mother is expected to also be charged with giving the gun to her son. Meantime, the three teens shot in the car are recovering. The 15-year-old boy shot in the back remains in the hospital. This happened after the 16-year-old boy fought with one of the victims. Family members got involved and that's when police believe the mother gave the gun to her son and he began shooting into the Dodge Neon. Seven people were in the car including a two year old girl and four year old boy. Three people were shot in the car and their family drove them to Paratech for help. In the end, at least eight bullets riddled the car and family members say it could have been much worse and are furious with the shooter's mother. The 16-year-old has been in trouble with the law before. He was accused in two burglaries. Milwaukee Police will remain in the area for awhile.
