Local NewsFeingold Stumps For Obama In Milw. MondayBy Katie DeLong
MILWAUKEE - The election has brought out some big names on the campaign trail, and Senator Obama is not taking anything for granted.
He has a high powered friend from Wisconsin stumping for him Monday in Milwaukee, with just one day to go before the election
With one day left to go, Senator Russ Feingold was in Milwaukee Monday stumping for Barack Obama.
“Make sure you get every single person out to vote and then we'll have a good time,” Feingold said.
Senator Feingold’s message to the Obama faithful was simple: work hard until the polls close on Election Day.
“Follow the game plan. Follow the strategy. Make sure you complete it down to the last minute. There's plenty of time to celebrate after you win. You don't start the celebrating early,” Feingold said.
Feingold planned to spend much of the day in Milwaukee, talking to Obama supporters making sure they're getting people out to the polls Monday and Tuesday, this as political polls suggest Obama will win the White House.
TODAY’S TMJ4’s Jay Olstad: “The polls show Barack Obama is leading here in Wisconsin. Is there a chance he could lose?"
“There's always a chance. I feel extremely good in Wisconsin. I was concerned around Labor Day when the polls were close. They haven't been close lately,” Feingold said.
Monday was the last lag of a ten day Wisconsin trip for Senator Feingold. He will go to Middleton Tuesday and vote for Obama.
