MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Team pulled a body from the river near Humboldt and Water streets Friday afternoon.
Officials say two kayakers yelled to people on the street to dial 911 after they found the body.
The dive team pulled the body out around 2:30 Friday afternoon.
Investigators have identifed the man as 91-year-old James Edwards.
Edwards has no family in Milwaukee and is originally from Chicago, according to police. Investigators believe he accidently fell into the river after leaving the Cambridge Senior Center on 1836 Cambridge.
