Local NewsMan Found Dead Near Potawatomi CasinoBy Tom Murray
MILWAUKEE - Customers noticed a man slumped over in the front seat of his SUV on the third floor of the parking garage at Potawatomi Bingo Casino Sunday night.
Investigators determined the 49-year-old Milwaukee resident died from a gunshot wound. They found a gun in the SUV, leading them to believe the man may have taken his own life.
Detectives will look to casino surveillance cameras for answers.
"We're going to have to review the video," Lt. Alfonso Morales of Milwaukee Police Department told TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray. "[We will] speak to the employees at Potawatomi that had been dealing with this person, tracking the steps of this person prior to the incident."
Detectives planned to contact family and friends to learn more about the man's demeanor before he left for the casino.
A Potawatomi spokesperson said other patrons were never in danger. Casino operations were not affected, except for a few customers who could not get to their cars inside the police line during the investigation.
