MFD Hands Out Carbon Monoxide Alarms
By Katie DeLong
MILWAUKEE - With winter only a few months away, carbon monoxide poisoning is a growing concern.
The Milwaukee Fire Department is taking a proactive approach.
Firefighters are passing out carbon monoxide alarms to low-income citizens.
Those 250 alarms were a donation from First Alert.
It's part of a home safety "focus" event to raise awareness about the dangers of CO poisoning and the precautions that should be taken for protection from the deadly gas.
