Local NewsMMAC Sues Over Milwaukee's Sick Leave OrdinanceBy Jon BymanThe Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce has now filed a lawsuit in an attempt to stop the City of Milwaukee's sick leave ordinance. A referendum passed by voters in November requires employers in the City of Milwaukee to provide workers with paid sick time. MMAC thinks businesses would have to comply with the ordinance as early as February. MMAC's Tim Sheehy tells TODAY'S TMJ 4 that he hopes a judge will stop the ordinance from taking effect while the lawsuit over it is sorted out.
