People Stock up Before the Storm

By By Heather Shannon and Jon Byman

Many people in southeast Wisconsin spent Thursday trying to get errands finished. They didn't want to toy with Mother Nature Friday.

TODAY'S TMJ 4 Reporter Heather Shannon found long lines at the Sendik's in Whitefish Bay. People were stocking up not just for the storm, but also the holidays.

"I'm kind of an older lady so I'd rather not get stuck on the road or in a ditch," one shopper said.

The big sellers the day before the storm were the basics, milk, bread and food for the kids. Another big seller before a major storm is wine and brandy. But a manager at the store says the biggest seller before a storm is always milk.
