Tickets for Lions Game Actually Selling
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Ticket sellers for Sunday's Packers-Lions game are finding sales aren't slumping as bad as both teams' records.
The Packers (5-10) face the Detroit Lions (0-15) in a cold-weather game that has no playoff significance.
Bill Wenzel of Titletown Tickets says demand is higher than the Carolina or Houston game. He suspects people in town for the holidays are snapping up more reasonably priced tickets.
Dennis Garrity of Event USA suspects people buy tickets for gifts or college students home during the holidays are making the trip to Lambeau.
The Packers tell season-ticket holders that unused tickets can be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay. The club's director of human resources, Darren Vanderheyden, says the donated ticket numbers have been increasing every game.
