Schlitz To Be Served On Draft

MILWAUKEE - More Schlitz will soon be flooding the market. Pabst Brewing Company says it's going to release "The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous" on draft this week and next. Pabst said Friday the pilsner will be on draft in about 150 locations in Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis. It hasn't even been two months since Pabst brought Schlitz home to Milwaukee. Pabst reformulated the brew to its original recipe and has been slowly releasing it through the Midwest. A generation ago, Schlitz was the world's best-selling beer, but after recipe changes and snafus it lost ground. The old formula was gone by the 1970s. The resurgence has been making Milwaukee nostalgic, and the beer has been selling out throughout the city.
