MILWAUKEE – Why do you think Summerfest attendance was down? Was it the musical lineup? The economy? The rain? Take the TODAY'S TMJ4 web poll and let us know what you think. Attendance for the 11 days was just over 831,000: that’s the smallest total since 1993. Revenue from ticket sales and food and drink sales was down about four percent from 2007. Summerfest CEO Don Smiley says “we are pleased with our 2008 results, considering key factors that were out of our control.” One factor was rain. It fell during four days of Summerfest.
