Man Stabbed After Grant Park Fireworks

SOUTH MILWAUKEE - A 22-year-old Oak Creek man was stabbed following the Fourth of July fireworks in Grant Park. Bystanders took the victim to St Luke’s South Shore Hospital where he was treated and then transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. He is listed in stable condition. The stabbing followed a very minor traffic accident in which a vehicle containing the stabbing suspects rear ended the victim’s car as both vehicles were attempting to drive off the lawn onto Lake Dr. from Grant Park, just south of the tennis courts. Police said a verbal altercation then escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, the victim was stabbed. Police request assistance in locating and identifying the following suspects and their vehicle: Suspect #1 A white man in his early thirties, average height and build, buzzed haircut and goatee beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering that said, “Don’t mess with the black and white” or something similar. Suspect #2 A white man wearing a black shirt just like the one described above. Suspect Vehicle A dark colored SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer, bearing a Wisconsin license plate of KSN659 or something similar. Police have received tips that the suspects were near the pavilion by picnic areas 5 and 6 of Grant Park. So detectives are asking anyone who had a video camera near the area on July 4 to review their tapes in case they have images of the suspects. Anyone with any information regarding the crime is asked to call the South Milwaukee Police at (414) 768-8060.
