Motorcyclist Dies in Racine County Crash

RAYMOND - A motorcyclist died Friday after crashing into the side of a pickup truck. He was identified as David Moser, 50, of Franksville. According to the Racine County Sheriff's Department, it happened at the intersection of Highway K and Highway U in the Town of Raymond. The motorcyclist was going westbound on Highway K. The pickup was going eastbound on Highway K. The pickup made a left turn onto northbound Highway U. The driver apparently did not see the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcyclist was unable to stop and hit the side of the pickup. Deputies were told Moser's leg was pinned under the motorcycle and the motorcycle was on fire. Bystanders pulled the motorcyclist off the bike and put out the fire. Emergency medical technicians on the scene requested a Flight for Life helicopter, but it was canceled when they were unable to revive Moser. The two people in the pickup were not injured. The sheriff's department said possible traffic charges "are pending." In a news release, the department said alcohol does not appear to be involved.
