PLEASANT PRAIRIE – A mobile home exploded in Pleasant Prairie Thursday afternoon. One mobile home was totally destroyed, and at least two others were damaged. TODAY’S TMJ4’s Lauren Leamanczyk was on the scene Thursday evening and talked with Sandy, who lived in one of the trailers damaged during the explosion. Sandy was not home at the time of the explosion, but firefighters say her mobile home was totally destroyed. “The firemen said it’s totally destroyed and it’s got a lot of water, and that’ll be mildew. I had a lot of stuff in there that I was saving for my grandkids and dolls and beanie babies and jewelry that came from my grandmother. I think some of it will be okay,” Sandy said. There were conflicting reports on the number of injuries. It is believed that there were no serious injuries, but some people may have suffered from smoke inhalation.
