MSO Singer's Ex-Husband Will Go To Trial

MILWAUKEE – Gerhard Witte, the 71-year-old man accused of killing his ex-wife will go to trial. He appeared in court wearing a suicide prevention vest. Witte is charged with first degree intentional homicide in the death of Elisabeth Witte, a singer with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She had filed a restraining order against her ex-husband three years before she was murdered. Witte’s next court appearance is in July.
