DELAFIELD - TODAY'S TMJ4 has learned there's now an emergency plan in place to reopen I-94 westbound by pushing westbound drivers into the eastbound lanes.

For truck driver after truck driver driving west on 94 has been a nightmare for them and everyone else trying to get to Madison.
I-94 west was shut down Friday night in Delafield because of rising rivers in Jefferson County. Traffic was re-routed all the way to Beloit for drivers trying to go west.
Now, a source familiar with the situation tells TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson that an emergency plan approved Monday will allow 94 westbound to re-open, perhaps by the end of the week.
The plan calls for westbound travelers to cross over into one of the two eastbound lanes for four to five miles before returning to the westbound lanes.
This will cause some inconvenience for eastbound drives who will now have to share that stretch of the highway, but it will make life much easier for anyone who has to go west from Milwaukee or Waukesha counties.
