MILWAUKEE - An attack on a Milwaukee County bus driver that was captured on a widely publicized videotape has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy. Authorities say the teen had been kicked off a bus earlier in the day by a different driver for having a fake pass. The surveillance video showed the attacker, in a red sweat shirt and bandanna, hitting the driver repeatedly as the driver tried to fend him off while continuing to drive. The assailant also grabbed the steering wheel and hit the gas. The bus eventually went into a tree and the assailant fled. The security video from the bus was released to the media in hopes someone would recognize the vicious attacker. Friday night, a citizen called sheriff's deputies saying they recognized the suspect as someone that would hang around a Milwaukee high school. Deputies took the video to that school and people there said he looks like a former student. Police arrested him Monday and the boy told them he beat the driver in retaliation for not being allowed to use a fake bus pass earlier in the day.
