Man Sentenced For Killing Teen In Drunk Driving Crash

By Katie DeLong

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY - A man charged with killing a Port Washington teenager in a drunken driving crash was sentenced Monday. Illegal immigrant Eddie Carbajal-Lile was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday before he is deported. He is the man who pleaded no contest to running a stop sign and crashing into another car, injuring two teens and killing 17-year-old Paul Watry. Carbajal-Lile's sentence was more than the DA asked for, but much less than Paul Watry's family wanted. "Today does nothing for us. We've lost our son, and nothing can change that, and nothing will erase the time we had together. He was a remarkable young man," Larry Watry said. Paul Watry's family says they were not convinced by Carbajal-Lile's apology in court. Carbajal-Lile did say through an interpreter that he wishes he could turn back the clock on what happened. Paul Watry's father says he believed Carbajal-Lile should get 60 years in prison, because that is how much time he believed his son had left to live.
