Kenosha Man Kills Wife

  • Print
KENOSHA - Kenosha police arrested a man for the murder of his wife. She was able to talk to police before she died. Police say it all started early Thursday when the 63-year-old suspect woke his 64-year-old wife up in the middle of the night and started arguing with her about their marriage. Kenosha police say they got a 911 call from Joanne Reidenbach saying she'd been stabbed and shot. She told police that her husband, Gary Sabol, was the person who did it. Officers raced to the scene in the 900 block of 71st Street. They heard Reidenbach yelling and screaming from inside the second floor of the home. Police forced their way inside and found Reidenbach and Sabol in the upstairs bedroom. Reidenbach was found lying in the bed and the suspect was holding a knife. Police told Sabol to drop the knife and say he didn't without out a fight. Reidenbach was rushed to a local hospital where she died. Neighbors say they were a quiet couple and they can't believe what happened. Sabol is in custody for first degree intentional homicide, but he has not yet been formally charged.
