Museum Exhibit To Honor Les Paul

WAUKESHA - A music legend from Waukesha is finally getting the tribute he deserves. Les Paul will be honored in a new exhibit at the Discovery World Museum on Milwaukee’s Lakefront. Ninety-two year old Les Paul, entertained in his home town of Waukesha last year. Paul is credited with inventing the electric guitar and dozens of other innovations in the music world. Wednesday, Discovery World Museum announced plans to create an exhibit to honor Les Paul and display many of his guitars and artifacts. "His heart has never left here, and we are proud to be the place that can showcase his spirit of innovation, his spirit of creativity and his accomplishments,” Museum President Joel Brennan said. Musicians, like 8-year old Tallan Latz of Elkhorn, will get to use interactive displays to perform with a virtual Les Paul. "Les Paul’s House of Sound" will open in June...a long overdue tribute to one of the giants of the music industry. The exhibit at Discovery World will run through the end of the year, and it could become a permanent display.
