4-Year-Old Attacked By Pit Bull Released From Hospital

GREENFIELD - A four-year-old Greenfield girl attacked by a pit bull is released from the hospital and back home. Neishaly Maldonado spent more than a week at Children's Hospital after the dog mauled her. The owner was fined almost $300, but the girl's father says the dog has attacked before and he worries the dog may go after someone else. “To my knowledge, this has happened twice before, and I want some answers actually as to why the dog is in the owner's custody yet,” Chris Maldonado said. The family set up a fund to help with mounting medical bills. Donations can be made in Neishaly Maldonado's name at any National City Bank branch.
