Packers Fans Ready To Brave The Cold
By Katie DeLong
GREEN BAY - Some Packers fans wouldn't miss out on a chance to be in Lambeau this Sunday for just about anything.
Others are getting rid of their tickets because it's so cold.
Some fans say if they get too cold, they'll come in to the atrium to warm up, and then rush right back outdoors to the Frozen Tundra.
First thing off the plane from California, Michael Koch gave his wife Debbie a new, much needed layer for Sunday’s game.
"I dress in probably four or five different layers and a storm jacket just to keep warm," Debbie Koch said.
While these fans fly cross country to endure an icy Packers game, other fans are trying to get rid of their seats.
Brokers were asking for at least $600 a ticket on Monday.
Just like falling temperatures, brokered tickets prices fell below $500 Friday.
"This morning we probably had some people who walked outside to get the paper or whatever and we're freaked because it's cold man," James Bryce of Ticket King said.
This may be one of the coldest games in NFL history, but season ticket holder Greg Wilinski and his wife won't be parting their seats.
"You put thermal underwear on, a couple sweaters, have Styrofoam for your feet to stand on and then hand warmers and feet warmers," Greg Wilinski said.
TODAY’S TMJ4’s Tom Murray: "Is it something you look forward to, a game like this?"
"Oh yeah, I wouldn't miss it," Greg Wilinski said.
