Packers Wine Available at State Fair
By Jenn Rourke
WAUWATOSA - Packers fans love to collect stuff that shows team spirit -- t-shirts, cheeseheads, and now wine?
It's called Cheesehead White. It’s being sold at the Wisconsin wine garden at the Wisconsin State Fair.
"Can you see going to a game with this -- and a cheesehead on your head? You'd be a hit!" Diane Richter from Cudahy laughed.
It's a semi-sweet table wine made by Chateau St. Croix in western Wisconsin. There's even a little cheesehead on top of the bottle.
It sells for $20 at the fair. It’s also available online for slightly less.
Several people in the tasting line said they thought it was good.
The maker's Web site says the wine was released in May of 2007 and won a silver medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
