More Music Acts Announced for Summerfest

MILWAUKEE – Summerfest officials have announced yet another headliner slated for this year’s 40th Anniversary festival. The Fray will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on Saturday, June 30, along with opening acts OK Go and Mae.
The Fray brings their melodic pop-rock compositions back to Summerfest after performing to a capacity crowd during Summerfest 2006. Formed in 2002 in Denver, this Grammy-nominated, piano-fronted rock band has risen to the top of the charts.
The band’s premier single “Over My Head (Cable Car)” was a top ten hit in the United States, and “How to Save a Life” reached the top three on Billboard’s Hot 100 list, gaining them international praise.
Their debut album How to Save a Life was the top-selling digital album of 2006.
Best known for their recent Grammy award-winning music video, “Here It Goes Again,” featuring a creatively choreographed routine on treadmills, OK Go will precede The Fray on the Marcus Amphitheater stage.
The Virginia indie-rock group Mae will open the 7:30 p.m. show. Mae’s second full-length album, The Everglow, was on the Billboard top 200 chart in 2005 and their third LP, Singularity, is planned for release in the spring of 2007.
