Thompson Appears on TODAY'S TMJ4

MILWAUKEE - Former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson is out on the campaign trail in the race for president. Thompson made it official Sunday on ABC's “This Week.” He joined us Live at 4 on Tuesday. “Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to come on your program and announce my intentions for the future,” Thompson said to host George Stephanopoulos. “And that is that you're running for president?” Stephanopoulos led. “That is correct,” Thompson replied. Thompson enters a crowded field, but he's confident that an upset at the Iowa caucus can push his candidacy to the top of the Republican ticket. Thompson kicks off his presidential campaign in Milwaukee Wednesday at Messmer High School. After that, he will fly to Iowa for a noon rally just outside Des Moines. He'll finish the day with events in New Hampshire.
